Listening Stations

Viewing/Listening Stations 

The University Libraries provides stations for the listening and viewing of CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, Audio Cassettes, and LPs. Some of our computers, not designated as part of our listening stations, also have existing CD/DVD drives. 

Faculty, staff, and students also have the option to borrow the following equipment from the ASKus desk in the Adele Hall Learning Commons for use within or outside of the Libraries.

  • external CD/DVD drives
  • Blu-Ray players
  • portable cassette players

Audio Editing/Digitizing Station

Located in the Love LINK, Computers area, the audio editing/digitizing station includes:

  • a record turntable
  • CD player
  • Audio Cassette tape deck

You can request use of the audio editing/digitizing station at the ASKus desk in the Adele Hall Learning Commons.

To avoid disrupting others, headphones should be used at all times while using the stations. Headphones are available for checkout at the ASKus desk in the Adele Learning Commons

Locker Rentals

Lockers are available to UNL students, faculty and staff with a valid NCard.

  • Locations, access and fees:
    • Love Library South, first floor stacks
      • full-size lockers: $15 per semester
      • half-size lockers: $7.50 per semester
      • A required combination lock is provided at no additional cost
    • Dinsdale Learning Commons, first floor (East campus)
      • Free 4-hour checkout for anyone with a valid NCard
      • A key is available at the Dinsdale ASKus desk
  • Food and drink cannot be stored in the lockers.
  • Library materials must be checked out before you keep them in a locker.
  • The library is not responsible for personal belongings left in the locker.
  • Library personnel may check the lockers periodically.
  • Rent lockers at the ASKus desks located in:
    • Love Library South, lobby
    • Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, first floor (East campus)

Delivery Request Pickup

The Libraries Delivery Request service helps remove the barriers to accessing the materials you need. 

Step 1

Search the catalog for your item. 

Sign in to see the request options and select 'Delivery'.

Step 2

Our staff will pull the item from the shelf, and deliver it to the location you specified.

Step 3

When you are notified your item is ready, go to your delivery location to check out your materials.

Individuals unable to pick up the item themselves can designate someone to pick up their items.
