for Print and Physical Materials checked out at a library

Course Reserves include course materials selected and prepared by the instructor for use in a course. Physical items, such as books, DVDs or 3D models, may be placed “on Reserve” at a campus library. Students visit the library to borrow Course Reserves for a limited time.

Note: Instructors can add information and records about these print and physical materials to the Libraries Course Materials Lists in Canvas.

Course Materials Review and Grants

Libraries faculty will consult with instructors across campus who seek to discover more affordable or open course materials to meet their teaching and learning goals. Instructors may request a course materials consultation by sharing a syllabus or current course materials or reading list. Grant funds are available for instructors who choose to replace all or some of their current course materials with no or low-cost alternatives. Contact Melissa Gomis or Catherine Fraser Riehle with questions about these opportunities.
