Research Partnerships has responsibility for engaging with the advanced information and data needs of UNL research communities in support of transformative research and knowledge mobilization. Collectively, the department has responsibility for the design and delivery of a range of advanced information/data programs and services.
Research Data Management Plans and Data Curation
We provide expertise in:
- Advising researchers about best practices in research data management
- Developing data management plans for both research team use as well as for external funders
- Curating data for sharing and preservation in an appropriate data repository

We provide expert support and guidance for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), empowering researchers with comprehensive resources and tailored consultation for integrating geospatial analysis into their work.
Additionally, we manage and maintain the UNL Geoportal, a robust platform that enables seamless discovery, download, and utilization of geospatial data sets critical for research, teaching, and decision-making across the university.
