Teaching & Learning Support
As Teaching Librarians, we conduct information literacy and research instruction sessions, participate in engagement and outreach initiatives, and provide research assistance and consultation.
We use a team-based approach to develop instructional materials, share best practices and pedagogical resources, develop and contribute to user experience initiatives, and conduct assessments.
Responsibilities included under the teaching partnerships umbrella:
- Development of and partnership in Open Educational Resources and related affordable content programs
- Virtual learning and virtual learning objects
- Learning technology
- Learning Analytics and related Assessment - of program, for instructors etc.
- Student creation/knowledge production
- Anti-racism and DEI initiatives in curriculum
Workshops, Courses and Tutorials
We offer support for instructors through:
- Providing In-class Instruction
- Assessing and offering guidance developing assignments and assessments
- Creating specific course research guides
- Providing virtual tutorials and videos
- Holding workshops for classes
- Offering a Library 110 class
