Check-Out & Go!
Love Library has just installed a new self check-out station at the Love South Circulation desk. It is easy to use with a touch screen monitor and easy to follow instructions. All you need is your UNL ID and some books.
Other things the self check-out station allows you to do:
• view your fines
• renews any items you have already checked out
So skip the long line at the circulation desk and check out your own books!
Where to study, where to get a snack
Now that the Talk Zone (Love Library South 127) has closed it's doors for renovations, you may be wondering where to study and grab a snack. The Kite Study Room (LLS 222) now has comfortable study booths and the vending machines are now located in the Love South Lobby, near the lockers. And, you can always head to the Quiet Study Area in Room 218. Thanks for reading -- please continue to send your comments. We appreciate the feedback!

PIN Implementation, May 13
Starting on May 13, when logging into your library account or a UNL Libraries database, you will need to establish a PIN (Personal Identification Number). You will be asked to enter it again as verification. For security purposes, instead of seeing the actual numbers on the screen, you will see asterisks or bullets displayed as the PIN is entered.
This PIN will protect your library card from unauthorized use and will be needed when you:
· login to My Library.
· ogin to use a database licensed for UNL.
· check out items at a self-check out machine.
· login to use a library computer.

Handmade books now on display in Love Library North
The 4th biennial Heart & Hands Juried Book Arts Exhibition for Students is now on display through May 31 on the second floor study area in Love Library North. More than 80 books from 23 states and Canada were juried by UNL Cather Professor of Art Karen Kunc and guest juror Barb Tetenbaum, book arts department head at Oregon College of Art & Craft. Of the 82 works reviewed, 47 were accepted and nine Juror’s Awards were bestowed to artists based on a variety of criteria from concept and execution to compelling storytelling. On your next trip to the library, be sure to stop by and view this beautiful exhibit of books arts. To learn more about printmaking and book arts at UNL, visit http://art.unl.edu/printmaking
